Jamborree 2005

In July of this year, Graham Clarke hosted what can only be described as a jamboree to commemorate Kass and his contribution to our education. It was a wonderful occasion and was attended by over thirty of his former students, several of whom had not seen each other for over fifty years. Needless to say many reminiscences were exchanged and photographs shown. In addition to informing everyone about this pending website, the jamboree was also an opportunity to announce two other projects, as follows:

Kass Book
Three of Kass’s former students, namely Juanita Grout, Trevor Preston and Graham Clarke have embarked upon an admirable project to write a book about Kass the man, the teacher and the artist. If you have photographs of Kass or anecdotes that you would like to be included please contact [email protected]

As the former site of the BSoA is now an attractive little public garden, it was also proposed that a plaque indicating it as a site of historical importance should be displayed there.
