A Site of Historical Importance

I have contacted the Town Planning Office of the London Borough of Bromley with a view to having a commemorative plaque installed at the former sight of our art school. Needless to say committees are involved and an evaluation of the BSoA’s historical importance to the district will have to be assessed. So far they are impressed, however the one major problem is that as the building burnt down there is nowhere to attach the plaque. It was suggested that an engraved metal plaque could be laid in the path of what is now a little public garden or some kind of notice board be installed. Suggestions for its design and form please.
